That seems to defeat the purpose of Platinum. Platinum is meant for jewelry because of its strength to protect the stones. Plating wouldn’t add any value. Suggest getting in gold then graduate to platinum for an anniversary later if you can’t afford it now.

About How Much Would It Cost To Have A Necklace Turned Into A Ring?
I have a diamond necklace that I would like turned into a ring. It is stacked with silver and a cold loop attached (where the chain is strung through). I would have to get the gold part removed and then, of course, add a band for the ring. About how much would it cost to have this done (including purchase of a silver band) and would I have to go to a specialty shop or just a normal jewelry repair shop? Thank you!

Me and her are in 4 months now. If me and her are still. i will gave the necklace with ring before she leaves here in Philippines this june or july because she will graduate this april or may, or maybe before i leave here next year because i will graduate this October and take board exams this December. How Long Will It Take For Jewellery Ppl To Change A Diamond Stone From A Ring?
I want to know how much minimum time will it take to change a diamond stone from a ring for the jewellery ppl. Will it take more than 5 mins or even less? If anybody knows it correctly please do advise immediately. The ring has a 0.7 carat diamond stone on it. And is it easy to change that stone?
